exhibit Italia is a thrilling new concept album by the Norwegian art duo bitterfoyn. Springing forth from a solo travel to Italy some 18 months ago, encompassing in situ recordings, a variety of acoustic instruments, synths and percussion, the soundscape is engaging and highly expressive. With inspiration from museum exhibitions and abrupt and surreal textual structure from Italian opera, the six scenes that makes up the album explores art and music in fascinating ways. The concept includes a virtual art exhibition, found on their website, and makes the whole experience refreshing.
